December Resolutions

It is officially December.  Snow greeted me this morning when I woke up.  Winter is on it's way.

It's also the first of the month, time to list my resolutions and be part of Kelli's Link Up. Kelli keeps a blog called, She Learns As She Goes.  Check it out!

Spiritual Resolution:

Focus on the Fruit of the Spirit, Longsuffering (Patience).

*Deep breath*

Patience is a virtue.  It's just not mine.

According to the dictionary patience means, "bearing pains or trials calmly or without complaint, manifesting forbearance under provocation or strain, not hasty or impetuous" (Source).

It's just so much easier to complain while waiting.  This is something specific I would like to work on for my emotional health as well.

Emotional Goal:

Stop complaining!  Replace negative thoughts with positive reinforcements.  There is a great book called, Switch:  How to Change Things When Things are Hard by Chip and Dan Heath.  In it they mention finding the bright spots, what is going right, not what is going wrong.

Mental Goal:

Mail letters offering my consultation services using the MBTI instrument.

Physical Goal:

Keep the momentum going.  Just Dance 3 is in my future.

Extra Goals for December:

Christmas Party with my little sister.

What are you most looking forward to this month?
